3D Printed Lamp with translucent resin.

 

As a design exploration exercise I conceived this piece as a SCI-FI abyssal creature, glowing in the darkness, hundred of meters under water. Organic Bioluminescence is an incredibly inspiring wild phenomena, that meets perfectly with the concept and mindset of WILD studio. The way to materialize this idea was through Combining advanced lighting rendering techniques, and scripting 3D modelling methods. As a design result a complex surface pattern with a primitive looking, grew uncontrolled, similar to a coral riff skeleton, colourful and translucent that could be 3D printed and back lighted to give a exotic touch to the space where this lamp could be allocated.
